About
NTDs Youth is a youth-led organization based in Japan dedicated to eliminating neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Our mission is to raise awareness about the significance of NTDs—diseases that affect approximately 1.5 billion people worldwide—through advocacy and policy recommendations. We collaborate with a diverse range of domestic and international partners to organize initiatives that encourage students and young people to engage with NTD-related challenges that impact their lives. Notably, around January 30, World NTD Day, we host events such as the Neglected Tropical Diseases Contest, which provides opportunities for students to learn, reflect, and take action. Additionally, we engage in dialogue with policymakers, including members of parliament and officials from central government agencies, through policy briefings, study sessions, and consultations. Through these efforts, we aim to advance and strengthen Japan’s commitment to addressing neglected tropical diseases.
